Treatment Philosophy

Dr Nijam strongly believes in early intervention for children and conservative treatment options for all patients. Dental health should not be compartmentalised from the rest of the body and a holistic approach to treatment needs to be taken with respect given to facial development, the temporomandibular joint, muscles of the jaw, the tongue and the airway.

Studies have shown the link between poor alignment of teeth in children and its link with sleep disordered breathing. Sleep disordered breathing can possibly lead to chronic diseases, poor school and work performance and trigger mental health disorders such as learning disorders, anxiety and depression can be easily managed with early intervention in adults and children. Dr Nijam Latiff is currently pursuing a masters degree in Psychology and Applied Neuroscience from Kings College London.

Dr Nijam has a keen interest in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry. Using Smile Design Concepts and working with some of the best laboratory ceramists in the world Dr Nijam and his team can transform your smile with conservative treatment options such as composite bondings and minimally invasive porcelain veneers.

In his free time, Dr Nijam loves to spend time with his family, play tunes on his guitar or have a game of football.
